How it all began

Christy first noticed Gary in 2019 at the Strongman Nationals in Iowa, where he secured 1st place. They officially met a few months later when Christy offered a fist bump while waiting in line for weigh-ins at the World Championship in Columbus, Ohio.

Gary won 1st place at the championship and Christy reached out to congratulate him and invited him out for some Jeni’s Ice Cream to celebrate. However, Gary had already started his drive back to South Carolina.

Despite being on opposite coasts, they continued to get to know each other, and within 3 months, Christy moved from California to South Carolina. Then their real adventure began!

And the rest is history

Now Christy and Gary live in Greenville, SC with their four dogs Sam, Harley, Tootie, and Pep Pep. They continue to lift weights together, chase waterfalls, and adventure the world!
